The Charlee

Located in the centre of Medellín’s vibrant Parque Lleras sector, The Charlee serves as a magnet for both hipster tourists and travellers from the surrounding area. The higher floors of the hotel boast breathtaking views of this revitalised city, and the rooms feature spacious balconies that are outfitted with modern furnishings and are perfect for evening beverages and small gatherings.

Although Medellín is not considered to be one of the most attractive cities in Colombia, it is quite possibly the most cool city. Residents of the neighbourhood flock to the Charlee to dine, drink, sip coffee, plug in their laptops, and catch rhythms at clubs and pubs. The Charlee is located in the popular Parque Lleras neighbourhood area. Although the evenings on Friday and Saturday are bustling with activity, the rooms have recently been soundproofed.

Rooms

There are just 42 rooms in this enormous tower, and several of them are so large that they feel more like party spaces than places to sleep. Additionally, the rooms are painted in lighter colours than the public areas. “Envy” (which includes a living room, a hot tub, and a Tepanyaki grill on the balcony), “Acqua,” “Spice,” “The Charlee Double,” and “The Charlee King” are the names of the categories, and they are listed in descending order of their respective levels of luxury.

the floors are made of natural stone, the furniture is imported from Asia, and there is a new piece of art on each floor. Air conditioning, well-stocked minibars, feather top beds, T300 Egyptian cotton sheets, goose duvets, and Damana toiletries are included in each of the rooms. The bathrooms are designed with stone walls and are designed to be attractive.

Services

The staff is fluent in multiple languages, and there is a concierge available around the clock to assist with orienting visitors who are not from the area. In addition to a library, there is a fitness centre situated on the top floor that is included in the hotel cost.

This fitness centre features a variety of exercise machines, punch bags, an outdoor hot tub, free classes, and an outdoor pool. The hotel provides free parking on the premises. The Charlee is able to successfully host major events, despite the fact that it is not your average business hotel.

Food and drinks

Breakfast consists of a plentiful buffet that includes a variety of hot foods, cereals, fruit, drinks, buns, eggs, and other hot dishes. It is served in the Lucia restaurant, which has a highly modern appearance and serves some of the best Italian food in the city. The fresh pastas and steaks are particularly noteworthy, and the restaurant also has an exceptional wine list.

In addition to hosting regular wine-pairing dinners that are conducted by a sommelier, the restaurant also features live music on Thursday evenings with live music. In addition to serving drinks, sushi, pool parties, DJ sets and Sunday breakfasts, the Envy rooftop bar is located on the 17th and 18th floors of the building.
